Extended Pregnancy Education and support
Postpartum and Breastfeeding support up to 6 weeks post birth

At CGP, we are proud to be an established GP training practice, dedicated to shaping the next generation of doctors. With years of experience mentoring and developing GPs, we provide a supportive, hands-on learning environment where trainees gain invaluable skills in patient care, diagnostics, and practice management.
Over many years we have supported Med Students, Interns and Registrars from various training colleges as well as alternate training models such as the Fellowship Support Program (FSP).
Under the guidance of our skilled and enthusiastic trainers, you'll receive structured supervision, exposure to a wide variety of cases, and the opportunity to grow into a confident, competent GP.
As a busy rural clinic, we provide opportunities not only for GP clinic training but also offer exposure to hospital inpatient and urgent care, maternity ( including birth suite), residential aged care and outreach clinics.

Placement and training opportunities
Central General Practice provides registrars and students with a comprehensive range of medical training.
We are a teaching clinic, accredited with both RACGP and ACRRM as well as the University of Melbourne to train medical students, junior doctors and registrars in general practice.
